Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts to Makukuhan: International Journal of Law and Syaria (Makukuhan-IJLS). Manuscripts must comply with the journal's scope, use the official manuscript template, and follow the APA 7th Edition citation style. Articles should contain 5,000–8,000 words, include at least 20 references, with a minimum of 80% derived from peer-reviewed journal articles, and at least 70% published within the last ten years. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote. Please read the journal's Publication Ethics, Plagiarism, Similarity & AI Policy, and Submission Preparation Checklist before submitting your manuscript.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript follows the official Makukuhan-IJLS template.
  • The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • All authors have approved the manuscript and its submission.
  • The manuscript complies with publication ethics.
  • The manuscript contains at least 20 references, with a minimum of 80% from peer-reviewed journal articles.
  • At least 70% of the references were published within the last ten years.
  • All citations and references follow APA 7th Edition.
  • All available DOIs have been included.
  • The Turnitin Similarity Index is below 20%.
  • AI-generated content does not exceed 20% and complies with the journal's AI Policy.
  • All tables, figures, and supplementary materials have been properly cited.
  • The manuscript has been proofread for grammar, spelling, and academic writing quality.
